Due to law enforcement activity in Valley Hi, Cascade School District is encouraging families in the Valley Hi/Ingalls Creek area to stay secure in their homes this morning until they receive any new notifications from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. Valley Hi and Blue-Shastin RV park bus stops on route 9 are cancelled this morning and all other stops on route 9 will run 10 minutes late. Any student absent today from those stops will be excused. Student safety is our #1 priority.

As part of our commitment to safety, education, and community engagement, Cascade Medical Center in collaboration with area first responders; Life Flight, CCSO, WSP, CCFD #3, etc. will be staging the “Arrive Alive” event Wednesday, May 7th at CHS.
The mock DUI accident demonstration is designed to raise awareness among students and staff about the very real and often devastating consequences of impaired and distracted driving. The demonstration will simulate the immediate aftermath of a DUI-related accident, including emergency response procedures and extrication.
Date: Wednesday, May 7th
Time: 1 pm – 2:30 pm
Location: On the SW corner of CHS campus parking lot at the end of Cone St off Pine St
This initiative is not meant to shock or scare, but rather to educate and inspire responsible choices.
Thanks so much to Cascade Medical Center and our first responders for their work in this important exercise!
