Check out the Alpine Lakes collaborative collage mural created by our 3rd- and 5th-grade classes under the tutelage of Amber Zimmerman! The mural is inspired by Oregon artist Jennifer Lake Miller’s folk art painting of Leavenworth. The mural features schools, a ball field, a business district, wildlife, and neighborhoods. It is also interactive—one student added a “Find Waldo” element—and yes, Bigfoot makes an appearance as well. While the mural isn’t geographically accurate, it captures the heart of Leavenworth beautifully!
CSD just learned that the Chumstick has a 3+ mile closure starting this morning and lasting for at least the next 3 days. Routes 1,2,3 and 12 will likely be running 10-30 minutes late this morning.

It's time for Project Citizen at Cascade High School!

If you're still in a festive spirit, come see the CHS Band and Choir concert tomorrow January 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the CHS auditorium. Students will be performing the holiday set that they were initially scheduled to play in December before the windstorms kicked in. Come celebrate the wonderful musicians we have at the high school and enjoy one more festive event for the season!
Happy New Year 2026!

Thank you to all community members who filled Cascade High School students' winter wishes!

In art class, Discovery students learned how to sew, made ugly dolls, and wrote all about them. Aren't the ugly dolls actually cute?
