The Numerica Performing Arts Center is offering free access to students to some performances this school year. Evening performances are intended for one student and a guardian or two students 16 years and older. Students and guardians can apply for tickets for the following performances: January 23, 2025, at 7:30PM - Jazz at Lincoln Center presents New Orleans Songbook, and February 23, 2025, at 7:30 PM - National Geographic Live (Speaker Series). Congratulations to Amber Zimmerman, art instructor at PD and Alpine Lakes! Her work has been selected by the Washington Art Education Association for a juried art exhibition called Crossroads of Creativity at Gallery One in Ellensburg. Congrats to Ms. Zimmerman, and thanks again to the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts for bringing someone so talented to CSD!

Alpine Lakes and IRMS students went on a joint field trip to the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery, learned a lot, and had a great time! Thank you, Leavenworth Fish Hatchery and CSD teachers and staff!

Participants in WAS can:

The PAEMST Award Cycle Application is Now Open! Nominate an Exceptional Secondary Science Teacher Today. Congratulations to Cascade High School student Caroline Menna! She is the only Semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit® Scholarship Program from North Central Washington! Academically talented high school students such as Caroline have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring. We're proud of you, Caroline.

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is installing gravel on Saturday 9/21 from 8-2 pm on the new and improved Rattlesnake Hill Trail behind IRMS and CHS. If you are a hard worker and have time available for a few hours to help with the trail, they could use the help!
