Happy first day of school, Cascade students!

IRMS Families,
Our teachers have been working hard all week to prepare for this school year, and we are looking forward to seeing you at our Open House this Monday night, at 5:30 PM!
We will have students' FLEX/Advisory teachers posted in our lobby and schedules available at the FLEX/Advisor teachers' classrooms. You will be able to pick up information in our lobby about pictures, sports, food services, transportation and PTSA...you will also be able to make payments to our office for sports, food services, planners, etc. See you there!

Welcome back, Cascade staff! Thanks for our Kodiak cheerleaders for cheering us on for a great start to the 24-25 school year!

Welcome back, teachers!

There's exciting work happening on Rattlesnake Hill this summer, making the trail more accessible behind the high school and middle school. Thanks to the City of Leavenworth, NCW Community Foundation, Leavenworth Rotary, Vail Resorts, the Bronco Wild Fund, and the PTO for your support! Thanks to Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance for your amazing work! The trail is closed until construction is complete.

Today was day 1 of the NCESD Leadership Summit. Thanks to a generous grant from the MD 19 Lion’s Foundation, Cascade administration was able to attend. It was a great day of learning and collaboration. We're planning for and looking forward to a great 2024-2025 school year!

Parents can now opt to purchase insurance for school devices in order to avoid high fees in case of damage. This could be especially helpful starting in grade 3 when students are issued laptops. For more information, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mFFMl1cX1k.

We spied Ken out in the hot sun working hard to keep the grounds nice at Icicle River Middle School. Ken works hard no matter if there's snow, rain, ice, smoke, or sun. Thanks for your dedication, Ken!

Cascade School District and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance are partnering to build a new trail from access points located behind Icicle River Middle School and Cascade High School to the top of Rattlesnake Hill. Work will begin July 8th and will be completed approximately at the end of August 2024. Access to Rattlesnake Hill will be closed to all use during this time.

Recently, Icicle River Middle School (IRMS) was recognized for growth in student achievement for students with disabilities by the State Board of Education, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee as part of the Washington School Recognition Program based on assessment results from the 2022-2023 school year. Congratulations, IRMS!

Have a great summer!
