Thank you to the City of Leavenworth, the USDA, and Winton Manufacturing for supporting the Cascade School District composting program! We compost in grades kindergarten through 12th grade in a Bearwise manner.


The Numerica Performing Arts Center is offering free access to students to some performances this school year. Evening performances are intended for one student and a guardian or two students 16 years and older. Students and guardians can apply for tickets for the following performances: January 23, 2025, at 7:30PM - Jazz at Lincoln Center presents New Orleans Songbook, and February 23, 2025, at 7:30 PM - National Geographic Live (Speaker Series). Alpine Lakes and IRMS students went on a joint field trip to the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery, learned a lot, and had a great time! Thank you, Leavenworth Fish Hatchery and CSD teachers and staff!

The PAEMST Award Cycle Application is Now Open! Nominate an Exceptional Secondary Science Teacher Today. The Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching is the nation's highest honor for science educators. Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is installing gravel on Saturday 9/21 from 8-2 pm on the new and improved Rattlesnake Hill Trail behind IRMS and CHS. If you are a hard worker and have time available for a few hours to help with the trail, they could use the help!


School sports offer many benefits to students, but many students have trouble affording to participate. InvestED is conducting a back-to-school fundraising campaign to help! Through October 24, Rep. Schrier is hosting a Congressional App Challenge for middle school and high school students of all coding skills in District WA08. The Congressional App Challenge urges all students to enter the competition, as it encourages critical thinking and creativity for those of all computer science experience levels. There's exciting work happening on Rattlesnake Hill this summer, making the trail more accessible behind the high school and middle school. Thanks to the City of Leavenworth, NCW Community Foundation, Leavenworth Rotary, Vail Resorts, the Bronco Wild Fund, and the PTO for your support! Thanks to Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance for your amazing work! The trail is closed until construction is complete.



Today was day 1 of the NCESD Leadership Summit. Thanks to a generous grant from the MD 19 Lion’s Foundation, Cascade administration was able to attend. It was a great day of learning and collaboration. We're planning for and looking forward to a great 2024-2025 school year!
