Congratulations to Terry Muscutt!
Terry Muscutt has been working as an educator for 30 years. He completed his teaching internship at Peshastin-Dryden in 1997, then worked in the Eastmont School District before returning to teach at Osborn/Alpine Lakes in 2015. While teaching in Leavenworth, he earned his principal’s credentials and served as the principal at Cascade Home Link for 5 years. He has also taught fifth grade and supervised the intervention program at Alpine Lakes. He aims to build a learning environment where teachers feel energized and love what they do so students feel safe, cared for, and empowered to reach their highest potential.
Terry has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Washington University, a master’s degree in science education from Lesley University, and his principal’s administrator certification from Washington State University.
You may have spotted Terry and his wife at dance recitals, plays, and other local events. He loves to support young people as they engage in the activities they love to do. He has also spent the last few years coaching high school football and middle school basketball. He is committed to this community and its families and hopes that he can increase opportunities for young people to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
His wife, Mandi, grew up in Leavenworth and teaches at Icicle River Middle School. His daughters both graduated from Cascade High School and are both college graduates. Kascia is attending a nursing program at UW, and Lauren is entering the workforce. Terry grew up near Bellingham. He still thinks that Galbraith is the best place to bike, but he doesn’t mind exploring new places. He also spends time building things in his shop, drinking too much coffee, and relaxing on his back porch with family and friends.
