Spring has sprung at Alpine Lakes, and with it comes an exciting season full of opportunities for our students! From the Glow Concert and WRI environmental education to state testing, field trips, River of Power, and much more—there’s no shortage of activity and learning!
This time of year, is also when we begin preparing the budget and staffing plans for the next school year. In developing these plans, we consider historical and projected enrollment, federal and state funding, grant support, and local levy dollars. We are truly grateful to be part of such a supportive community here in Cascade, where two levies were recently passed to fund school operations, technology, and safety.
With all factors considered, we can determine staffing levels at Alpine Lakes for the 2025–2026 school year. I’m pleased to share that we anticipate maintaining stable enrollment and will welcome a smaller 3rd-grade class from Peshastin-Dryden. This will allow us to continue providing small class sizes across all grade levels—something we are very excited about!
Alpine Lakes 2025–2026 Staffing Model
3rd Grade: 69 students | 3 classroom teachers | ~23 students per class
4th Grade: 85 students | 4 classroom teachers | ~21–22 students per class
5th Grade: 87 students | 4 classroom teachers | ~22–23 students per class
Alpine Lakes is a remarkable place for students and families. We are proud to be ranked in the top 8% of Washington’s 1,800 elementary schools by U.S. News & World Report. Our commitment to environmental education, a safe and caring community, and strong academic preparation continue to set us apart. I am excited to see our tradition of excellence continue with small, supportive learning environments for all students.
Thank you for your continued support of your child and Alpine Lakes!
Sincerely,
Kenny Renner-Singer, Ed.D.
