Mrs. Kristen Ward

Welcome to 7th Grade ELA- From a Distance
History in the making, one huge experiment, distance learning at a snap of the fingers; we are in it!  As we lean on each other to figure out how to best educate 7th graders from a distance, please know that I welcome your feedback.  I will do my best to support your student through these uncharted times.

I will communicate with parents on Monday through Skyward-emails.  Additionally, I will send a second email later in the week.  I understand that parents are receiving a lot of emails from teachers.  Your child has a minimum of six teachers, and each one of them wants to make sure that their students are happy, healthy, and getting their educational needs met.  I will communicate with students through Microsoft Teams. Finally, I will send a weekly schedule of lessons and due dates on the Schedule and Due Dates tab in order to help students stay organized.

Online Office Hours:
I will host office hours from 9:00-11:00 I am available for video chat, conversations (Teams), or email.  Students and parents can reach me through Microsoft 365 Teams or through email at

Welcome to my brief introduction. I started working for the Cascade School District in 2007. I have taught sixth grade, ninth grade, and 6-12th grade English Language Learners.  While I love working with 7th graders, I also love being outside. I look forward to sharing a great year with you.  Remember, pick up a good book... or an eReader!
