Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to my brief introduction. I started working for the Cascade School District in 2007. I have taught sixth grade ELA, ninth grade ELA, and 6-12th grade English Language Learners.
I was born and raised in Washington State. After graduating from WSU (I love Cougs, but I might be the worst Coug alumni in the world...or the only one that doesn't wear WSU garb.) I moved to Telluride, Colorado. It was a fun move, I spent my winters skiing and ice climbing. In the summers, I guided high school students and guests up and down mountains from California to Alaska. Eventually, my husband and I decided to head back to Washington and we moved to Leavenworth full-time. Once again, I went back to school. This time I was a Wildcat (cat theme...) at Central Washington University. There I received my second Bachelor of Arts in Teaching. I went on to get Nationally Board Certified in Language Arts Middle Level. Why stop there? I decided to go back to school one more time. I recently finished my Master's degree in Teaching in Technology. I try to infuse my experiences in my classroom.
I look forward to sharing a great year with you in 7th grade. Feel free to email, call, or stop me in the supermarket! Until then, pick up a good book... or an eReader!
