-
On Aug 10, 2020 the Cascade School District board approved the following "Reopening/Healthy Start Plan". This plan is required to be submitted to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction by all school districts in the state of Washington two weeks prior to their first day of school. Our plan was submitted on Aug 11th.
As part of our Healthy Start Plan, we submitted a letter (Aug 11) to our local health district requesting to have the option for small group (5 students) instruction onsite for the start of the school year. These groups would follow all health requirements and be made up of our student who need intensive academic support for whom remote learning is most challenging (special services/programs, migrant students, homeless students, or students in a hands-on career and technical education course. Here is that letter: Letter to Dr. ButlerRegional Health District(s) K-12 Guidance for Reopening to Classroom Instruction (Aug 7, 2020)
