WINTER CLOTHES REMINDER
Due to the cold weather, please help your child dress appropriately for winter. Students at Alpine Lakes are not required to do Five-Alive like at the younger grades. We want to provide opportunities for students to have natural consequences if they do not wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Having a warm coat, gloves, socks, boots, hat, scarf can go a long way to help kids stay warm. Also, having a change of clothes in their backpack is not a bad idea for those slips and falls. When the temperature falls below 10 degrees Fahrenheit, we have indoor recess. These are just a few suggestions. We want to help everyone stay healthy and warm all winter!

Character Strong Trait for March--COOPERATION
The Character Strong trait for March is COOPERATION--Cooperation requires great communication, self-awareness, and the ability to step up (or step back) when the time is right to best support whatever group you are working with. Over the course of the month, we will be creative in teams, accomplish amazing things side by side, and learn about what it means to do meaningful, purposeful work together!

ALPINE LAKES HAS WINGS TO SOAR WITH!
Alpine has wings in the hallway near the gym. Every class participated in this art project with Ms. Amber leading the students learning. The students learned about the artist Kelsey Montague and her #whatliftsyou campaign through her public and interactive art. Ms. Amber helped students learn about collaborative art and created feathers with crayon patterns and metallic liquid watercolor washes. ALPINE'S FEATHERS SHIMMER!!

ART WITH AMBER AT ALPINE
Miss Amber's art room is a busy place! The kiddos in her class are finding their rhythm and tapping into their creativity. The class is currently working on learning the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. This is helping the students increase their technical skills, tap into their imaginations, and it is offering opportunities to learn about artists around the world. Miss Amber has a gift of bringing out the amazing artists that are inside each of Alpine's students. It is a true joy to walk through our amazing halls and be in awe of what our eagles are creating!

What A Beautiful Day!! Picture taken by Tim Bentz Cascade School District Transportation Director
What is your favorite color of the rainbow? Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow. Douglas Pagels--Remember...There are SO many beautiful reasons to be happy!!
